SPECIAL MARKING FOR AIR TRANSPORT:
- Packages conforming to ICAO Technical Instructions must bear a specific mark certifying this compliance.
USE OF OVERPACKS:
- Overpacks must be marked with “OVERPACK” if the dangerous goods markings are not visible, and must display all required marks for the contained goods unless only limited quantities are involved.
PRE-CARRIAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Consignors must inform carriers of the total gross mass of dangerous goods in limited quantities to be transported.
VEHICLE AND CONTAINER MARKING:
- Transport units exceeding 12 tonnes and carrying dangerous goods in limited quantities should be marked front and rear unless they contain other dangerous goods requiring different placarding.
